Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Evening Shift New

Compensation: $42.00 / hour

Description MedHealth is hiring full time LPNs at the Columbia County Jail in St. Helens, OR! The County Jail holds inmates with misdemeanor sentences as well as detainees awaiting trial or sentencing. Inmates with longer sentences or more violent, felony convictions, will be held temporarily pending a transfer to state prison. Although the Jail has over 250 beds, typically less than 200 are housed on any given day.

• Up to $42/hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status, including taking vital signs and performing diagnostic evaluations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and airway management.
• Provide emergency care as needed, utilizing skills in basic life support and spinal tap procedures.
• Document patient information accurately using the Epic electronic health record system.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and workers compensation law as applicable.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequirements:

• Oregon unrestricted license
• 1 Year of Nursing Experience
• Basic Life Support Certification (AHA or ARC)
